Six years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. I was 27 years old at the time, and a mother to three girls ages 5, 3 and 11 months.
At the time of diagnosis, my universe shrank to the size of my bedroom. No longer was I able to be active in the school where I worked; or participate in family and community events. My life revolved around chemo treatments, doctor visits and frequent medical tests.
